Privacy policy and data processing
This notice concerns the processing and protection of personal data and is provided pursuant to the Code on the protection of personal data (Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 and subsequent amendments, implementing Directive 2009/140/EC) to all those who interact with the web site and the services of the International Association of Judges, accessible online starting from the address: https://www.iaj-uim.org.

Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this website entails the acquisition of the sender’s email, necessary to respond to the requests, and of any other personal data included in the message. Specific information will be provided or displayed on web pages dedicated to particular services on request.

Personal information on this site are all owned by the International Association of Judges.

Data Protection Officer

By using this site, you can process data of identified or identifiable persons. The data protection officer is the International Association of Judges, which is based in Rome, Palace of Justice, Piazza Cavour, in the person of its legal representative, the President pro tempore Gerhard Reissner.

Cookies
No personal data of any user is acquired by the site.
We do not use cookies to transmit information of a personal nature, nor any kind of so-called persistent cookies, or systems for tracing users.
The use of session cookies (which are not stored permanently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to transmitting session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) and / or access codes to reserved areas (user, password, and email), necessary for the safe and efficient exploration of the site.
The so-called session cookies used in this site avoid the use of other technologies that could compromise users’ privacy while browsing and do not allow the acquisition of personal identification data.

Place of data processing
The data processings related to the web services of this website take place in the premises of the Association and are only handled by technical staff in charge of the processing, or by persons in charge of occasional maintenance operations.
No data deriving from the registration to services available through the web is communicated or disclosed to third parties, outside our organization. Personal data provided by users who request the sending of informative material (newsletters, etc..) are used only to perform the requested service and only for non-commercial communications of the International Association of Judges, Piazza Cavour, Palace of Justice, Rome.

Optional supplying of data
Apart from the navigation data, the user is free to provide personal data contained in the request forms to ask informative material or other communications. Their absence may cause the impossibility to obtain the requested information.
Method of treatment
Personal data are processed by automated tools for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the specific purposes for which they were collected.
Specific security measures are observed to prevent the loss of data, their illicit or incorrect use and unauthorized access.

Types of data processed
Navigation data
Computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the Internet communication protocols.
This information are not collected to be associated with identified people but by their very nature they can make users identified, through processing and association with data held by third parties.
This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the reply given by the server (successful, error, etc..) and other parameters regarding the operating system and computer environment.
These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on the site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site.

Rights of the interested parties
Subjects to whom personal data refer have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence of such data and to know their content and origin, to verify their accuracy or to request their integration, updating or correction (art. 7 of Legislative Decree no. n. 196/2003).
Pursuant to the same provision, these subjects shall have the right to request cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, and to oppose in any case, for legitimate reasons, to their treatment.
