Armenia will host the 60th European Karate Championships from May 7–11, 2025. This prestigious event will welcome more than 1,000 athletes and delegates from 54 countries and will take place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan. The opening ceremony of the tournament is scheduled for May 8, with the matches running from May 9–11.

The Armenian National Karate Federation has expressed its willingness to provide invitations to the participants of the EAJ 2025 meeting, as well as their accompanying persons, who wish to attend the Championships.

Additionally, on May 9 at 19:00, a performance of Aram Khachaturian’s ballet “Gayane” will take place at the A. Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet National Academic Theater. Aram Khachaturian, the most renowned Armenian composer of the twentieth century, is widely recognized as a key figure in Armenian culture and one of the leading composers of the Soviet Union. He has often been described as “by far the most important Armenian composer” and the “Armenian Tchaikovsky”. His best-known work, the “Sabre Dance” (Suserov par), a movement from the final act of Gayane, is recognized worldwide.

Please note that these two events are not included in the official EAJ 2025 agenda. They are optional activities available to both delegates and accompanying persons.

Who wish to attend either event are requested to notify us by May 3, as places are limited.
